Cropping isn’t simply a technique for making a photo fit into a specific hole on the page. It’s actually a very creative tool that can make a good photo better and a lousy or uninspirational photo markedly better.
Look at every photo you use with these questions in mind: “How can I make this shot function more effectively?” and “What can I do to make this photo more meaningful?” Then use cropping to discover the answers.
