Beginning Parse

A cloud-based service that provides everything you need to build an app

With features like data storage, web hosting, push notifications, and SDKs ranging from iOS to Android, Parse (Figure 3-1) offers a complete infrastructure for developing dynamic applications. Other development kits include Windows/Windows Phone 8, Unity, and OS X. Using their PHP or JavaScript SDKs as a REST API can additionally provide an interface for data that can be used for CMS tools, middleware, or any database-driven application.
