In this chapter, we go deeper into the shared responsibilities that AWS and the customer share. Ultimately, a big factor that determines responsibility is the type of resource – IaaS, PaaS, or SaaS. AWS’s Shared Responsibility Model does not provide a clear distinction of responsibilities, but there is in fact a distinction – which is why I introduce Microsoft’s Azure Shared Responsibility Model in my classes.
