As a take-off on the Tarzan theme, Jungle King hit arcades in 1982 thanks to game manufacturer Taito. The stakes are surprisingly high in this game, as your character swings from vine to vine to rescue a damsel in distress from jungle cannibals. Throughout different levels in the game, the main character must swing from vines, hurdle tumbling boulders, and carefully navigate a river full of hungry crocodiles with nothing more than a small knife.
