Chapter 12. Migration
You've come a long way in the course of this book. A handful of chapters ago, you were first introduced to Oracle Application Express. Now you have created a full-featured application, learned how to deploy that application and manage the APEX environment, and seen some of the packaged applications you can use for immediate results with APEX.
At this point, you may be looking at APEX as the destination for your new application development work, but this decision also has a hidden component — what are you going to do about your existing applications on other platforms, such as Access?
This chapter will discuss the migration task ahead of you, including the advantages of migrating your Access applications, as well as giving you the opportunity to explore the process you will use for a migration.
