Power Apps is similar to Excel because it relies on formulas to carry out tasks. Formulas are the lifeblood of an app because they provide the capability to add logic, calculations, and functionality to an app.

This chapter introduces how to write formulas to help enhance the functionality of our apps. The topics include functions that operate against data types such as text, numbers, and dates. We also cover the use of variables, conditional operators, and formulas for app navigation.
