Getting Something Running

The best way to learn a programming language or a web framework is to dig in and write some code. After reading the first two chapters, you should have a good understanding of the Rails landscape. Chapter 4 will lead you through the Ruby language, but first let’s write a little code to whet your appetite. This chapter builds a foundation and will get you excited by walking you through the construction of a basic application.
