Designing Magazines

In the previous chapter, you looked at the ways in which you can automate your page layout tasks in Scribus via styles, scripts, and master pages. In this chapter, you’re going to examine the design process and then apply all of your new knowledge to some design exercises.

Because page layout programs are used in the main to produce magazines and newsletters, you are going to be looking at the design of a glossy magazine, one that contains full page color bleeds, and that can be sent to a professional high street printer for processing.
