Ubuntu 14.04 LTS was released in April 2014 and was a milestone for the Ubuntu community. It came in the middle of dedicated work for extending Ubuntu to phones and tablets. Since then, Ubuntu has continued to innovate and evolve on the path toward Ubuntu 16.04 LTS.
