Chivas Sicam works as an entrepreneur and IT consultant. Chivas takes pride in being part of the DOST-ASTI (Department of Science and Technology Advanced Science and Technology Institute) Bayanihan Linux project. His team has advocated the use of open source software for the computing needs of government agencies, schools, and small and medium-size enterprises in the Philippines. He also scored 100% in his RHCE exam in March 2005. He enjoys technology, road trips, and keeping up-to-date on news of the Utah Jazz.
