Over the years I’ve had several hundred aspiring filmmakers approach me, mostly online, seeking advice on how to break into the industry. The overwhelming majority of them want to know: should I go to film school?
The answer to this question is one of the most controversial topics in the film business with fervent supporters on both sides of the debate. In truth, the answer is that attending or not attending film school is a personal decision that no one can make for you. You need to determine what the best course of action is for you.
