I hesitate to cite something from 2013, because if you’re reading this in 2017, you might think, “Oh, but that was four years ago. . . .” Yet the sentiment and attitudes won’t change much. Many (dare I say most?) of the practices and sentiments in this book are timeless. To that end, let’s look at a highly visible criticism of photography and photographers made by two people who are recognized professionals within the creative space, because if they’re suggesting this, then other solid professionals with a pedigree of experience may be thinking the same thing, and that paradigm needs to change.
