The Value of Offering Internships

Over the last 20 years or so, more than 50 interns have made their way through our office. It’s been our pleasure to watch many of them learn and grow into their own in photography. Some have gone on to work for The New York Times, the National Geographic Society, AOL, People magazine, NBC, and other establishments. Others have gone on to work for community newspapers around the country, and many have left to start their own photography businesses—some even competing in the same market I am for similar work. Some have gone on to illustrious careers lecturing around the country, authoring books, and doing webinars.
