When you’re writing your piece, you’re probably reviewing and revising it piecemeal as you go along. Even if you’re not, you need to review it thoroughly when you think you’re finished. Why? Because while you think you’re finished, you’re probably not. Why not? Because you have to ask yourself several questions about what you have written. Until you do, you cannot be sure of the answers. This is one of the most critical parts of the whole job. It’s called proofreading.
