Not a day goes by that a TV or radio reporter doesn’t get an idea for a story from a newspaper. Critics contend that the major networks couldn’t even fill their newscasts if the New York Times weren’t delivered. Maybe there’s some truth to that. But these days, the same also is true in reverse. Every day, broadcast reporters come up with new story ideas, or sniff out new angles on old stories, that newspapers then copy. It’s the way of the world, and no reason for anyone to hang their heads in shame.
