In 2007 a study of the UCSF Medical Center Web site and the UCSF Children's Hospital Web site was performed using the automated online usability testing tool UserZoom. The study had three goals: (1) to validate results from a round of qualitative studies performed earlier in the year, (2) to identify the points in the Web site where users were most likely to stop using the UCSF site and seek help elsewhere, and (3) to provide quantitative data to support usability recommendations that could be used to inform an IA redesign in case a redesign was found to be necessary.
