I can remember watching my grandmother jot down notes in the margins of her Bible when I was a little girl, as she sat next to me in our small country church. Little did she know that her actions made an impression on me. I watched her make her Bible personal to her, with her handwriting lining the edges of each page. I picked up that habit as a teenager, recording little bits of information I didn’t want to forget, and it became an important part of my life.
