Achieving Organizational Alignment for Big Data Analytics
Who in the organization needs to be involved in the process of acquiring, proving, and then deploying big data solutions? And what are their roles and responsibilities? This chapter looks at the adoption of new technology and how the organization must align to integrate into the system development life cycle. We look at some specifics, including the learning curve for distributed and parallel computing, data lifecycle changes, adjustments to the system infrastructure, the need to augment the existing investment, data intent and repurposing, and the needs for data persistence.
