About the Author

THOMAS H. DAVENPORT is the President’s Distinguished Professor of Information Technology and Management at Babson College and a research fellow at the MIT Center for Digital Business. He is also cofounder and research director at the International Institute for Analytics and a senior adviser to Deloitte Analytics. Davenport is the coauthor of Competing on Analytics, Analytics at Work, and Keeping Up with the Quants. He has authored, coauthored, or edited eighteen books. His 2006 article, “Competing on Analytics,” was named one of ten “must read” articles in Harvard Business Review’s ninety-year history.
