Prologue

Once you have perfected a few recipes, there is a seemingly natural tendency to formulate a cookbook to enable others to match your successes. In the earlier chapters of this book, I have presented and illustrated a range of concepts, principles, models, methods, and tools. You have read the equivalent of treatises on hammers, saws, screwdrivers, and wrenches.

In this chapter, I discuss a set of ten steps that form a methodology for applying all these tools to achieve success in addressing almost any problem or question.
