While most of the exercises in this book can be completed with the user interfaces available in Google Cloud Platform, they can also be completed via the command line or with the Google Cloud API. Google also offers SDKs in multiple languages for programmatic access. We used the Python SDK in this book, but SDKs are available in many languages including Go, Node.js, PHP, C#, and Java. Regardless of which language(s) you choose to use, being able to work on the command line directly can be a huge timesaver over visiting all of the respective tools in the console.
