Green construction is a relatively new way of thinking about building. Although green construction methodologies continue to advance, we are seeing an overall rise in the way contractors are thinking about the energy, water, and resources they use to build. Many times the amount of energy used on a job site is a large portion of monthly overhead costs. Even simple solutions such as insulating job trailers to reduce heating and cooling loads, unplugging devices when not in use, and using energy efficient lighting on-site can add up to both a serious energy and cost savings.
