Abstract:

The surface modification of biomaterials has exhibited great potential in biological applications by transforming the existing surface into more appropriate compositions and/or topographies. The surface of bioactive glasses plays a critical role in their performance, and many studies have been conducted on the surface modification of bioactive glasses or modification of other materials with bioactive glasses, which can combine the properties of the two materials together to obtain desirable functions.
