The main objective of this chapter is to draw our perspective out to a global scale of interaction and identify some ecological stories and biomimetic approaches that can guide decision making in a global context.
When considering bioinspiration at a global scale, it can be helpful to take a holistic perspective. Although the term holistic is frequently associated with health care, holism also has a specific meaning in ecological terms.
