Abstract
Population explosion, automation and urbanization has resulted in numerous harsh environmental effects and ultimately to climate change. The future of this globe thus seeks immediate attention and investment of thoughts to restrict the use of hazardous chemicals and thus arrest the further deterioration of the environment. Nanotechnology has been an indispensable arena, which has extended its wings into every aspect of modernization and thus green synthetic protocols are extensively researched to inhibit the harmful effects of chemical remains and reduce chemical wastes. Green synthesis of nanoparticles generally involve use of plant extracts or microbial action to replace the chemical reducing agents. Biogenic reduction of metal salts generally result in nanoparticles possessing unique properties than those produced using physico-chemical techniques. Thus, green synthetic techniques are ecofriendly, economic, and appropriate for mass production. Herein, in this chapter we have provided a detailed review and analysis of the various green synthetic approaches for ...
