Abstract:
Osteoarthritis (OA) is the most common form of joint disease, affecting over 33% of people over 65 years old. The patho-physiology of OA is complex and manifested by changes at the molecular, cellular, and tissue levels. High resolution, three-dimensional (3D) imaging methods provide the opportunity to quantitatively assess changes in the morphology and composition of multiple articular joint tissues in small animal models.
