Understanding exposure and knowing how to influence your camera’s interpretation of a scene are critical to creating your vision. My goal in this chapter is to give you enough confidence to take your camera off autopilot and start shaping your own exposures. At times this chapter will seem a bit technical, but don’t feel bad—I also find the technical aspects challenging at times.
