Just like any skill, negotiating must be constantly drilled into your mind. The ultimate place to build experience, besides garage sales, is at your local flea market. Most of these venues are large, open-air arenas that feature everything from brand-new tires to electronics and rare books. If you can’t find something you could use at a flea market, you’re just not trying. In addition, the sellers are usually fairly sophisticated at negotiating, having done it week after week, possibly for years. You are sure to pick up valuable experience from them if you observe carefully. Just remember to follow the tactics you’ve already learned.
