In Chapter 5, Building a Base with Standard Meshes and a Mirror, we used the Loop Cut and Slide tool to make strategic cuts in our house base. For my window, I'm going to want some extra edges to separate out the window from the shutters. One thing I'm concerned about is making sure both shutters are the same size. The Loop Cut and Slide tool has the ability to make multiple, equidistant cuts at the same time. When you get the purple preview line of the proposed loop, you can use your mouse scroll wheel to increase or decrease the number of cuts:
