The second example that I want to address briefly is a platform called Nano Vision (http://nanovision.com). The goal of this platform is to decentralize the funding of medical research and to enable scientists to share their research and collaborate on an open, global scale. It enables everyday consumers to fund medical research (for example, direct funding of potential cures) that are important and matter to them.
What really makes this platform different, however, is the collection and processing of molecular data, a subset of biological information, in real time to accelerate the development of cures.
Before looking at this platform in more detail, let's examine what it is trying to solve.
