Chapter 9 introduces clustering and association rules analysis, which help analysts uncover patterns and relationships in data. By examining features present in existing data, you can uncover relationships and use those relationships to better understand your data and, more importantly, what that data represents. Understanding your customer data is good, but gaining a clearer understanding of your customers who produce that data is far better. By understanding your customers, you may be able to tailor your service and product offerings to better meet their needs. That approach can lead to more sales, lower costs, or any goals your organization pursues.
