I was once asked whether I thought a blogger had to know code to be successful. One of the great things about blogging is that just about anyone with a computer and an Internet connection can set up a blog and publish a post.

However, bloggers like to tweak things. Adjust a color here, change a font there. Whether or not you design your entire blog, at some point you’ll want to make at least minor changes yourself. That’s when you could use some basic HTML and CSS knowledge. And where this chapter is your friend.

This chapter won’t make you a coding expert. What it will do, though, is give you a greater understanding of HTML and CSS so you can make simple tweaks to your blog’s content and design.
