In many ways, creating content for a niche blog isn’t much different from writing for a broader topic, but niche blog content does need to stay focused on the specific topic of the blog. This brings with it a unique set of challenges. Readers visit a niche blog for targeted content about a subject they’re interested in. If your niche blog content steers off course significantly with irrelevant content, readers will become confused and look elsewhere to find the targeted content they want and need.

Consider a blog about classic rock that suddenly contains content about classical music. How do you think the blogger’s audience of classic rock enthusiasts would react to this type of inconsistency in content? It’s unlikely that they would be happy about it. In fact, they might turn their backs on the blogger and seek another source for the information, opinions, and conversations they’re looking for about classic rock music.
