When I began blogging in 2008, I was a stay-at-home mom of two small children, looking for a creative outlet apart from coloring with crayons next to my kids. I have always loved writing and taught middle school English prior to becoming a mom, so when a friend suggested blogging, I jumped right in. At first it was purely a creative pursuit, a chance to publish whatever my heart desired and as often as an idea came to me! However, I quickly figured out that keeping track of fleeting ideas was tricky in my busy life, and posting on a regular schedule was tough to do without, well, a regular schedule.
