Chapter 13: Impact of Bloom Filter in wireless network
Abstract
In wireless communication, a device can access the network services whenever it is within range. Thus, it is easy to join a network for a malicious node. The topology of the wireless network is very dynamic. Hence, locating a node is complex. A wireless network has to spend more time on broadcasting messages to keep all nodes updated about devices, services, and other information. Transmitting big messages requires more bandwidth. Also, frequent broadcasting increases traffic. Hence, wireless communication is exploring Bloom Filter to solve the above issue. Bloom Filter is a probabilistic data structure primarily used for filtering. It has a simple architecture and constant time complexity. ...
