About the Author
Robert Doty is president and owner of AGFS, a private consulting company in Sacramento, California. Mr. Doty served in the municipal securities market for more than three decades as a financial advisor to issuers, bond counsel and investment banker, and in other capacities.
Mr. Doty, a Harvard Law School graduate, has been active since the mid-1970s in advocating improvements in disclosure to municipal securities investors. As early as the mid-1970s, he was an author and co-author of several seminal publications in that field. He has testified in favor of municipal investors, as well as issuers and others.
