Everyone has an Outer Voice. It is the voice that speaks to the public about who you are. It is the voice that speaks to the world.
Your Outer Voice is how people see you, how they interpret what you do and how you present yourself. It’s the first impression that you make when you walk into a room. People make a judgment about you based on what they see and how they interpret what they see. Their perception has nothing to do with what’s going on in your Inner Voice. People cannot know your Inner Voice by just looking at you. The important thing, as it relates to authentic leadership, is that the Inner Voice and Outer Voice give the same message.
