Chapter 9. IrDA Interoperability Middleware Protocols
Continuing our examination of the middleware protocols, we now visit those protocols intended to provide interoperability with IrDA applications. In this chapter we examine the protocols and conventions that together in the specification are termed "IrDA Interoperability." This term does not mean that devices with Bluetooth wireless communication can communicate directly with IrDA devices but rather it refers to protocols that enable common applications to use either form of wireless communication.
