How do you fully own the skin you’re in to live a bold life?

The skin is your largest organ; it helps you do remarkable things so you want it to be the healthiest it can be as it takes you through the story of your life. It’s the story the world sees. When you look in the mirror you see a story on your face; we all do. Do you see laughter lines in your face, stretch marks on your tummy or freckles on your nose from all your summertime adventures?

Makeup has never been important to anyone in my family, including me. I think people are surprised when they meet us, as we are more comfortable with no makeup and bare feet. The brand and family values have been built not on makeup but on a deep understanding of the needs of individual skins using a scientific approach. Not vanity, but healthy skin.

I remember the first time the expectations others had on my family hit home. I was quite young and there was a Vogue shoot with Kristy Hinze at Palm Beach. The editor at the time was a local. He knew my dad well and wanted to borrow our Clydesdale horse, Olive, for the shoot. So we took Olive down to Palm Beach and although we had been introduced to the crew as the family behind the Ella Baché brand, they simply didn’t believe it, as we were not what they were expecting.
