Implementing the Reference Configuration
The process of creating a mirrored root disk using Solstice DiskSuite software requires that you create space for the metaDB, create the metaDB, put boot slices into simple concats, mirror those concats with simple concats from the boot mirror, and make all the devices bootable.
The following section describes the procedures you can use to create a mirrored root disk. Special emphasis is given to using proper procedures and documenting changes. The following procedures create the reference configuration described in Chapter 4, but the contingency disk is ignored because it is rarely necessary for Solstice DiskSuite software configurations.
