The Main Menu

At the top of the AppBrowser is JBuilder’s main menu bar. It contains the following 11 menus:

  • File

  • Edit

  • Search

  • View

  • Project

  • Run

  • Team

  • Wizards

  • Tools

  • Window

  • Help

Some of the menu items in these menus are standard or self-explanatory. The following sections describe the more interesting or uncommon menu items.

File Menu

The File, New menu item opens the Object Gallery. The Object Gallery is where you can select which one out of a variety of objects you want to create. You probably recognize some of them (Class, Interface, and so on) already.

The File, New Project menu item creates a new JBuilder project. We will talk about the place of projects in JBuilder later in this chapter.
