This painting process is about allowing your

art to unfold naturally, on its own time, and in

delightful ways you can’t even imagine before

you start. It’s tempting, and very natural, to

want to know what your paintings are going to

look like before they are finished, but the truth

is you never really know what the future holds.

Incredible amounts of energy are wasted by

chasing what you cannot catch. Let go of the

chase and embrace the unknown. By releasing

the need to control the future, you open

yourself up to the magic of the moment where

everything is possible.

Opportunities to face fears and embrace the unknown abound in our daily lives.

When you listen and respond to your inner voice, even when it’s daunting, you will

move in new directions, connect with others, and exist in a world of possibility.

Are you compelled to talk to a stranger? Are you drawn to explore a new culture?

Do you have unrealized passions? Do you resist these urges because they are

too scary, too crazy, or too uncertain? Consider that by honoring and following

these urges, you are saying yes to something larger than your rational mind while

nudging yourself gently toward more opportunity. The next time you have an

urge to do something, respect your intuition and take action. Be brave and don’t

look back.
