Diarra Kilpatrick is a native Detroiter. She studied drama at NYU’s Tisch School of the Arts. Diarra is the creator and star of the web series American KoKo, which received the Best Web Series Award at the American Black Film Festival and has been featured as a web series standout by Essence.com and others. She’s also an award-winning actress, having garnered a host of theater awards and nominations including, LA Weekly, LA Drama Critics Circle, NAACP and LA Ovation.
