Abstract

The process of evaluating an organization’s security profile will vary depending upon the size of an organization. For smaller organizations, a single individual is often capable of performing the evaluation, considering the systems, the business, and the regulatory drivers behind that business. For an individual who has a wide breadth of technical and business skills, security assessment could be a logical and rewarding career path. Because of the skills required, and that the role develops, other career opportunities are available should one want to move on.
