Chapter 13. Deploying AIR Applications

Chapter 1, “Building Your First AIR Application,” briefly explained the basics of creating an AIR file using a Hello World application. This lesson will re-address the same topic in more detail as well as discuss methodologies for packaging database files and other assets along with your AIR application.

The goal of this discussion in Chapter 1 was to enable you to work with AIR applications quickly. The goal of this chapter is to teach you to package and deploy final form applications that can be distributed to users through various means, some of which allow the AIR runtime to be installed at the same time.
