I do not see an effective PPM process as including any scope beyond the framework set out in Chapter 1. However, this narrowly defined generic process framework can make a spectacular contribution to strategy execution—something many executives struggle with in today's hyper-competitive business environment. Project managers who contribute directly to accomplishing this objective can get executive recognition for their ability to navigate through the project fog and reduce all this confusion about what projects really matter.
