One of my favorite assignments is the work we do with high-potential leaders from GE businesses around the globe. We conduct our workshops at GE’s learning facility, called Crotonville, in Ossining, New York, just an hour outside Manhattan. Crotonville is the world’s oldest corporate university—the first classes commenced in 1956. Nominated GE managers (you can’t just sign up) attend various levels of executive leadership development and skill training programs and partake in the solving of real business challenges facing GE globally, hand-selected by the company’s top leadership.
