Winston Churchill’s statement wasn’t about supply chains, but it does apply to the evolving story of supply chains, shaped by overcoming challenges and capitalizing on opportunities. Goods and services have required “sequences of activities” to acquire, manufacture, and bring them to market. “The supply chain” is now a high-profile and high-impact term in today’s global economic, social, and political environment.
