Organize with Windows Photo Gallery
You can view your pictures by using Windows Photo Gallery. Of course, you can view them in lots of other ways too, but Windows Photo Gallery comes with Windows Vista and is a great application to use. With Windows Photo Gallery you can view all your pictures and videos (or only one or the other); view large thumbnails of pictures without having to open them in a separate window; find pictures by their tag; search by file extension, date, or rating; and more.
To get the most out of Windows Photo Gallery, though, you have to know how to navigate the interface as well as how to create metatags and sort and group the data you have into working folders.
