At 7:45 a.m., she walks into the lobby of the building where the business meeting will take place. The receptionist asks, “Are you here to interview for the temporary administrative assistant position?” At 8:00 a.m. the leader of the meeting arrives. He looks past her into her taller male direct report’s eyes and asks, “Which one of you is the manager of this project?” At 8:15 a.m., another meeting participant looks around the room and notices her notepad.
